Living TEAM’s values: Connected

An innovative mindset

Growing up in the countryside of northern Italy, Simone’s academic journey began in in the Sciences, but what really fascinated him was how ideas become reality. That curiosity led him to complete a Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship & Innovation, a relatively rare programme at the time.

His early career reflected that innovative mindset. From helping Maserati transform their information technology, to developing Intesa Sanpaolo’s (one of Italy’s main banks) first-ever circular bond, to managing European Space Agency and EU-funded programmes designed to accelerate the growth of aerospace start-ups.

Simone refined what would become one of his defining strengths: innovation through connection. 

Making strong connections

Joining TEAM as Innovation Manager in 2023, Simone was tasked with building a function from the ground up – respectfully challenging the status quo and finding ways to evolve and improve. It meant asking questions, meeting people across the business, and embedding himself into how TEAM works.

Since then, his role has grown into leading TEAM’s transformation towards more data-driven, efficient and future-ready ways of working, spanning AI, workflow automation and cultural change.

Alongside this, Simone supports business development projects, helping articulate what TEAM will do differently and better for new clients.

For Simone, connection is an integral part of how new ideas come to life and how value-added change happens.

Inspiring change

A standout example of Simone’s ability to drive change was in implementing TEAM’s first-ever Innovation Day, inspired by hackathon-style events he had previously delivered. The event created a structured platform for surfacing ideas that already existed within the business, giving colleagues confidence, visibility and momentum.

He has since launched a New Ideas Forum, offering additional opportunities for colleagues to propose ideas and get them in front of leadership. Every ‘winning’ idea is given attention and the resources to progress it forward. The project also gave Simone the opportunity to mentor another colleague, supporting her to lead sessions and amplify the Innovation department’s efforts.

Whether designing company-wide initiatives, mentoring colleagues, or quietly connecting people behind the scenes, Simone’s leadership style is collaborative by default.

Connecting with intention

Simone notes how TEAM’s culture really fosters connection: creating numerous moments and touchpoints to build meaningful relationships. From being elected to TEAM’s Advisory Panel, becoming a regular voice at TEAM Karaoke nights, or joining the company football team, Simone is not afraid to get involved and fully immerse himself in TEAM’s culture.

In December 2025, Simone was nominated by his peers for the TEAM Player Award for embodying the value ‘Connection,’ in recognition of how consistently he creates space for others, listens, and helps teams move forward together.

At TEAM, connection is valued and cultivated. And it’s what enables ambitious ideas to become tangible outcomes.
