MASTERCARD EXTENDS UCL SPONSORSHIP THROUGH TO 2021

NICOLE VON DER CRONE — FEB 09, 2018
An agreement between UEFA and Mastercard to extend their partnership of the UEFA Champions League for the 2018-21 seasons has been reached. The agreement, which is for three years, also includes the UEFA Super Cup, UEFA Youth League Finals and the UEFA Futsal Champions League Finals.

The longstanding partnership provides Mastercard with a great opportunity to directly connect with fans across the world, their passion for football and reward them with priceless experiences. One of Mastercard’s key activations, the Player Mascots, will continue and they will offer children from around the world the opportunity to walk onto the pitch alongside some of the game’s biggest stars before UEFA Champions League matches.

“Mastercard has been a very valued partner of the UEFA Champions League since 1994 and we are proud to announce that this strong relationship will continue to bring fans closer to the action and to provide Mastercard with a perfect platform to enrich their award winning Priceless campaign,” Kerstin Lutz, TEAM’s Managing Director Sponsorship, commented.

Mastercard joins Heineken, Nissan and Pepsi as the fourth partner extending their partnership with UEFA of the UEFA Champions League, while Santander has joined as a new partner for the competition’s 2018-21 cycle.
