On the day of the staging of the 47th edition of UEFA’s European Club Football Final, UEFA announced today that Hankook Tire has signed a new three-year agreement to continue as an Official Partner of the UEFA Europa League, taking their sponsorship of the tournament through to the UEFA Europa League Final in 2021. Hankook’s sponsorship started in 2012 and today marks their sixth consecutive UEFA Europa League final as an Official Partner - the longest running Official Sponsor in the commercial programme.
With an estimated 60 million viewers expected to watch this years’ final at the Stade de Lyon, France on Wednesday 16 May between Olympique de Marseille and Club Atlético de Madrid, viewers will also have the chance to see who will receive the Man of The Match Award presented by Hankook, this is an award Hankook has been proud to present at the last two Finals.
Kerstin Lutz, Managing Director Sponsorship commented: “We have worked with Hankook since 2012, and we are delighted that they now continue to 2021, which will be nine years of partnership by the end of the 20/21 season. It is testament to the strength of the UEFA Europa League that this is the second time we announce a renewal with Hankook and we hope this continues in the future as well. Hankook are our trusted partner who, via exclusive back stadium tours and centre circle carrier activations, continue to promote the UEL outside of just traditional football fans. From 2018/19 season Hankook will also present the UEL Player Of The Week competition online on UEFA.com, adding further visibility to their sponsorship of the UEL.”
Hankook Tire renews as the fifth Official Partner of the UEFA Europa League for the 2018-21 commercial cycle, following the renewals of Amstel and Enterprise-Rent-A-Car, while Kia Motors and Molten, have also become an Official Partner and Official Supplier to the competition respectively.
