BANCO SANTANDER BECOMES NEW UCL PARTNER
NICOLE VON DER CRONE — NOV 29, 2017
An agreement has been reached for Banco Santander to become an official partner of the UEFA Champions League for the 2018-21 seasons. The agreement also includes the UEFA Super Cup, UEFA Youth League Finals and the UEFA Futsal Champions League Finals.
The partnership will provide the financial institution with an opportunity to boost brand recognition and communicate its goal to help clients and businesses prosper. The Madrid-based bank is a world leader in its sector, which makes Banco Santander an ideal partner of the most prestigious club football competition in the world.
UEFA and Banco Santander will work together to continue to grow the competition globally with particular focus on Latin America.
Jamie Graham, TEAM Marketing CEO, commented: “It is particularly rewarding, from a sales perspective, to see Banco Santander finally become a UEFA Champions League partner as TEAM has maintained a great relationship since its sponsorship of the UEFA Cup 10 years ago.”
Banco Santander joins Heineken and Nissan who have already extended their partnerships with UEFA for the competition’s 2018-21 cycle.
